A strong passion for design, art and crafts is the foundation of Galleri-Skomagerhuset. After opening on May 2nd in 2002, it became clear that there are many of us that share this same passion. In a world with a lot of superficial and profit-focussed behaviour, it makes sense to pursue the offbeat and the unique - to pursue spirit and warmth. Perhaps through a pot where you imagine the potter`s hands forming it, a sculpture with a message to convey or a painting that moves you.

All of the artists represented in the gallery are people that are passionate about the work that they produce and live off. Since my role as proprietor gives me the unique opportunity to leave my personal mark on the gallery, the challenge is to hold firmly on to that passion.
